If the recipient already has a Digital ID, a PGP key, or a GPG key they can upload them to the vvgclinic.org server and everything will be encrypted to them using this key or ID. They can also save the public key that the message is encrypted with when they receive a message and use it to encrypt messages back. Check with the mail program that is use to do this since it is a nice simple way to encrypt messages.

When a message is received that says:

Follow the link and you will be prompted to type in a password and verify it. This process creates an account for you on our PGP server so that the PGP server will know your preference on receiving mail. The screen looks like this:

After you create the account by entering a password and verifying it, click Continue. The next screen will present options for how e-mail will be delivered. Select PGP Desktop or S/MIME and click Choose Option.

The next screen is where you can either upload a file for the key or paste a keyblock. If Browse is clicked, an Explorer like window will come up to use to locate the file. The password block is used if the key is password protected. Click Continue when the file is selected of the keyblock is pasted.

The next screen presents a place to download the Organizational Certificate that our server uses to make the keys that our clinicians use. We will be using a certificate from CAcert.org so you can also download the root certificate from them. cacert.org You will also have a chance to trust the certificates later when you receive e-mail. Click Continue.

From here the next screen is the Web Messenger of the e-mail that was stored from the beginning. It won't be delivered like the rest will be. If you need a copy to store, contact the person that sent it and have them resend the message. From this point on, all e-mail from vvgclinic.org will be sent on and encrypted with the uploaded ID that was used.
